Full Tilt Online Poker Series V Kicks Off Tomorrow
Series Features 14 Events, Including One Two-Day TournamentThe Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is back tomorrow with its fifth installment, and the series will pay out more than ever to its participants — at least $7 million over 14 events.
In addition to the newly upped total guaranteed prize pools (the FTOPS IV, held in May, had guaranteed prize pools totaling $4 million), Full Tilt is heavily promoting its $2,620 buy-in two-day no-limit hold'em tournament. While a two-day event for an online poker room is nothing new, it is a relatively new undertaking for one of the major sites, especially for a high-profile series like the FTOPS. The poker tournament has a $600,000 guarantee (meaning Full Tilt expects at least 240 entrants) and satellites into the event are running for as little as $55. Single-table $357 buy-in sit-and-gos are also being run in which the first-place finisher gains entry into the event and second place earns $395.
The FTOPS main event is also bigger this time around. The main event of the FTOPS IV had a guarantee of $1.5 million while the FTOPS V main event guarantees 33 percent more at $2 million. Last year's main event ultimately had a prize pool of $1,899,000 generated by its 3,798 entrants, and first-place finisher John_McClane17 pocketed $336,000. Download poker wallpapers.
Full Tilt will also be awarding each event winner with an exclusive golden FTOPS jersey avatar, as usual. Other prizes being given out include limited-edition FTOPS baseball caps for all players & women poker players who finish in the money in any event and FTOPS baseball caps and jackets for all players who reach a final table.
The games featured in this runthrough of the series include Omaha, seven-card stud, H.O.R.S.E., and, of course, lots of hold'em. The series also has plenty of shorthanded and rebuy events on the schedule. Play $500 match poker bonus.
