Poker Player - Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman - This aptly nicknamed young poker phenom, "The Takeover, burst onto the world poker scene by making the final table in his first major professional event, the WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals, just one month after turning 21 years old. Not content with merely qualifying through a $1,000 online satellite, Nick came in to the final day as the prohibitive chip leader with a 3-to-1 advantage over his closest competitor. Not a bad start for a kid from Cold Springs, NY, who started playing cards at 17, turned pro at 19, and just two years later became the youngest player in WPT history to make a US final table. Now that he's hit the scene with a resounding splash, it's reported that Nick turned down the opportunity to appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman, because of his desire to preserve his anonymity. He did, however, indicate that he might consider an appearance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien. We doubt that's a slight to the venerable Letterman, merely personal taste. In any case, this Big Apple resident will be challenged to keep his poker success secret for long.
His earnings add up to $2,192,500
