Poker Player - David Williams
David Williams got an early start making money playing cards, but not in the traditional sense. While he attended the Academy of Math and Science in Texas, Williams established himself as one of the best Magic: The Gathering players in the world. Williams earned more than $30,000 playing Magic before he tried his hand at Texas Hold'em.The move turned out to be a good one, with his "big break" coming in 2004 when he finished second in the World Series of Poker main event. Greg Raymer took the first place prize and the bracelet, but Williams still took home $3.5 Million for his efforts.Currently attending clases at Southern Methodist University, Williams says that even though he will contine to play Magic: The Gathering, poker will surely be his priority. Magic is for fun, he says, but poker is where the money's at.
